Ramses II at War

When Ramses was 10 his father put him in charge of the Egyptian Army. His father died in 1279 BC. Four years after this was when he tried to recover lost land in Southern Syria. The following year, he led a larger contingent against the Hittites and Kadesh. Wait, just one minute I thought he tried to regain theses people with respect not WAR! In 1274, he took place in the largest chariot war in history. The battle included as many as 5,000 chariots and double (Yes I said DOUBLE) the amount of people on foot. This must have been a crazy fight because if I were on a horse, I would probably be hitting soldiers left-to-right. As you can see, Ramses was very successful at war.
