Ramses II's Death

Ramses died when he was about 90 years old. This guy I assume had some major wrinkles. It was a big loss to the people of Ancient Egypt. He died 1213 BC. They think he died in the summer but they're not completely sure. He must have smelled really bad when he died since it gets so hot in Egypt. They buried him in the Valley of the Kings. That was not his final resting place. He was moved two more times before he was moved to a museum in Paris, France. He was the first pharaoh to travel by plane, stinks for all the other pharaohs. Now this Pharaoh lies in peace in the safe tranquility of a museum.

  1. Haha he must have smelled bad? Thats funny. Also, is it just me or does he have hair in this picture still? I don't understand because hair would be the first thing to rot away in mummification right?
